Francis Outred

Francis is one of the world’s leading auctioneers, having spent the last 20 years working for Sotheby’s and Christie’s which he recently left. While at Christie’s, Francis was a huge supporter of contemporary art, significantly expanding the remit of the Post-War and Contemporary Art department there. He has also been a true friend to Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art: in 2015 he oversaw the auction of alumni works which raised some £1.4million towards the project and continues to support the gallery which opened in September 2018.
