The agreement creates a validation partnership under which BCAS will deliver a portfolio of undergraduate programmes leading to Goldsmiths degrees. Goldsmiths retains responsibility for academic standards, quality assurance, and the award of degrees, following full approval through its institutional governance processes, including Academic Board scrutiny.
BCAS Campus, established in 1999, is a well-established private higher education provider with campuses across Colombo, Kandy, Kalmunai, and Jaffna, and a track record of delivering internationally recognised programmes. The partnership brings together BCAS’s strong local presence and focus on employability with Goldsmiths’ academic oversight and award.
We are delighted to formalise this partnership with BCAS. This agreement reflects a shared commitment to academic quality, student success, and widening access to international education. We look forward to supporting students in Sri Lanka to achieve Goldsmiths degrees and to building a strong and sustainable partnership over the coming years.

Teresh Amaratunga, CEO of BCAS Campus, said: "This partnership marks an important step for BCAS as we continue to strengthen our global outlook and enhance opportunities for our students. Working with Goldsmiths enables us to offer internationally recognised degrees while maintaining a strong local focus on employability and relevance."
The partnership will initially include programmes across business, computing, psychology, and law, aligned to areas of strong student demand and employment opportunities. The first cohort of students is expected to begin their studies in September 2026.

An official in-country launch event is planned for August 2026, bringing together stakeholders from education, industry, and government to mark the start of the collaboration and support student recruitment.
This partnership supports Goldsmiths’ 2033 strategy by expanding its global reach and strengthening its transnational education portfolio in a new region. It reflects a continued commitment to building carefully selected, long-term partnerships that align with institutional values and academic standards.
Both institutions aim to develop the partnership over time, with scope for growth in programme delivery and deeper academic collaboration, subject to continued success and shared priorities.
