"My MA at Goldsmiths provided me with the academic and theoretical foundation I needed in my field. Having never worked in this country before, the placements that I did as a part of my course were eye-opening experiences, giving me the tools and skills I needed to work effectively straight after my studies. To be successful on the course, being proactive and seeking out placement opportunities in London was something I needed to do right from the start.

This journey helped me grow personally and professionally. It also gave me a lot of information and inspiration for my anthropological research. If could do the same course again, I'm sure it would still be useful and interesting. The structure of the course is dynamic and influenced by the diverse range of students enrolling each year.

Learning together as students, it was fascinating to have the freedom to focus on my own specific interests, whilst at the same time being able to draw on guidance from the tutors and lecturers. I completed the course feeling that the mix between theory and practice was very well balanced, I would strongly recommend the course to anyone who wants to have a valuable qualification as well as hands on knowledge in the field- even if they have very little previous experience in anthropology. I made it and I am a mathematician. It was hard work but I enjoyed every single minute. I am very pleased to have taken this course; the experience has been a huge benefit both to my personal and professional life."
