The programme offers great flexibility, allowing students to explore their own interests and research directions.
A liberating experience
Studying at Goldsmiths has been a very liberating experience. The MA/MSc Virtual & Augmented Reality programme offers great flexibility, allowing students to explore their own interests and research directions.
There are also many opportunities to interact with students and professors from other disciplines.
An artistic atmosphere
I particularly appreciate the strong artistic atmosphere on campus—frequent exhibitions by the Department of Computing and the overall creativity and talent of both students and faculty have been truly inspiring.
A cultural place
The local area offers a diverse cultural and artistic atmosphere, which I really appreciate.
On campus, I especially enjoy spending time at HatchLab—it’s well-equipped and frequently hosts exhibitions.
Life after Goldsmiths
I’m currently working at a startup that has developed a no-code spatial creation tool - STORY APP for Apple Vision Pro.
The platform enables users to easily build immersive spatial experiences. My role focuses on designing and creating these experiences, treating XR (Extended Reality) as a form of artistic expression.
In the future, I aim to create more innovative and high-quality experiences that blur the boundaries between the virtual and the real and contribute to the growth and evolution of the XR industry.
Advice for future students
Enjoy and make the most of your time at university, and take part in as many activities as you can.
If you encounter challenges in your studies or daily life, don’t hesitate to reach out to staff, tutors, or professors for support. Don’t carry the burden alone or try to avoid the situation.
Also, try to connect with students and tutors from other disciplines—you’ll likely gain fresh insights and new opportunities.
