Atuki Turner

Atuki Turner was born in Uganda. She’s a published poet, winner of a short story competition in the Daily Telegraph and currently writing her second novel. Both it and her critical commentary explore the issue of ‘bride price’, about which she has also made a documentary film.

She is a prominent campaigner for women's rights in Uganda and works to assist women with issues from domestic violence to gender inequality.
