The year was life-changing. It gave me back my creative wonder and helped me discover the perimeters for my latest book.
A life-changing degree
My favourite part of the MA in Creative and Life Writing was the lectures with visiting writers, the one-on-one tutorials, meeting a dynamic group of writers, plus the term I studied Life Writing.
Goldsmiths has a unique energy, one which helped me drop into an intensely personal and artistic space. One which I'd been longing for.

Life after Goldsmiths
I now write and perform for a living, as well as teach creative writing.
I especially like teaching memoir/life writing to community groups as there is a transformative spark when people get to tell their stories. There is a natural release and infinite beauty in the 'true' story.
Future wise - a new novel, I hope soon. As well as more teaching in different areas and community settings.
Advice for future students
Be open to everything. Go to all the lectures you can, even the ones not on your course. Soak it all in. Use the indie bookshop next door (The Word).
