Gaining confidence
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Goldsmiths. The MA in Creative and Life Writing was a real game-changer in how I viewed myself as a writer. It gave me confidence and helped instil a writing practice which continues to serve me.
Engaging teaching
I loved the combination of group feedback sessions, 1:1 tutorials and the opportunity to attend seminars by exciting and contemporary writers. A highlight for me was a visit by Andrea Levy, her encouraging words have stayed with me.
A vibrant atmosphere
New Cross was my home and place of work for over 20 years. It was wonderful to be able to study in such a vibrant place.
Life after Goldsmiths
I have just published my debut novel 'No Small Thing' (Serpent's Tail) so it's been an exciting time.
I'm currently enjoying promoting and meeting other readers and writers, whilst I start thinking about novel number two!
