While studying my undergraduate degree in public relations and marketing at the University of Northern Iowa, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Greece. During that formative time, I knew that working with international students was the right fit for me. As I sought the perfect fit within the field after finishing my BA, I decided to pursue my Master's degree at Goldsmiths, following the Cultural Policy, Relations and Diplomacy programme.

While at Goldsmiths, I obtained an internship with the US-UK Fulbright Commission, an integral part to my learning process and my understanding of the UK education system. Goldsmiths brought together this perfect harmony of culture within our year group. We had students in our cohort from around the world, only enhancing the cultural experience and understanding brought to the table. While I was the only student within my cohort focused on education, I learned an abundance of information from my fellow students and my tutor that help me daily in my current role.

After graduating from Goldsmiths, I took on a new role directing the UK branch of CATES Tutoring, a New York City based tutoring company, that specialises in bespoke tuition of American admissions exams, including the SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT and more. Today, I work with some of the best and brightest UK students planning to gain admission to some of the top universities in the world.

It's a joy to witness how my degree at Goldsmiths directly correlates to my future as I continue to think about CATES' global expansion. I feel I was well prepared to not only be a global citizen, but to enhance the world around me through cultural policy and diplomacy.
