Access to world-leading research

On the MA Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, I was exposed to world-leading research, cultural studies tradition, and some of the world’s toughest challenges.

As a journalist, I found that this experience helped me better understand the world and tell otherwise untold stories about technology and society.

Life after Goldsmiths

After graduation, I moved to the US and worked for Voice of America for two years. I then returned top Indonesia, working on a Pulitzer Center-supported journalism series about AI's impact on Indonesian workers.

In Fall 2026, I began a PhD program in the Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, where I hope to conduct research on AI, the journalism industry, and news audiences.

Gaining the skills and experience for an international career

My experiences at Goldsmiths gave me the confidence and network to pursue an international career in the United States.

As a journalist, I also benefitted from Goldsmiths rich academic culture that helped me to develop strong analytical skills and make sense of the world.

My classes on politics of tech, inequalities, and the Global South, have helped me to write important stories about AI and society.

Advice for future students

As an international student, I benefited a lot from opportunities for internship and networking in London.

I would recommend international students to go out there and taking advantage of the global city.

Vibrant surroundings and accessible green spaces

I enjoyed how creative and vibrant New Cross is. I especially enjoyed walking to many green spaces and artisanal coffee shops around the area.
