"I am grateful for being part of the dance movement psychotherapy family at Goldsmiths"
Main details
Dance has been a big part of my life from a very young age. When I was sixteen I came across a form of dance movement psychotherapy in a seminar in Austria, which is where I first discovered how strong the connection between body and mind could be, and how much joy and support dance can give people.
Today, I am grateful for being part of the DMP family at Goldsmiths. Despite my young age I feel that the course gives me the experience and the resources I need to mature and thrive as a dance movement psychotherapist. The programme consists of a well-thought combination of experiential and theoretical modules alongside placements.
The teaching staff are inspiring and encourage us to broaden our horizons by being curious and fining alternative ways of thinking. The environment is very supportive, and because of the relationships with my coursemates it feels like home. Coming from the small Mediterranean island of Cyprus I am delighted that I have made friends from all over the world.
