A supportive environment
There is a lot of freedom being an Art student at Goldsmiths. I feel I can make whatever I want, and have always been able to find support. Goldsmiths has a campus full of talented people who know what they are doing and are happy to share their knowledge and experiences.
The generosity not only comes from staff but also students - this cultivates a sense of togetherness that makes one feel a drive to dream big and be ambitious.
Advice for future Art students
Develop a system to use your time well. There is an abundance of learning opportunities and opportunities to take part in different activities.
Learn to assign time accordingly to academia as well as things you want to do. It is an environment that requires you to study independently. Designate locations/buildings on campus for tasks which you wish to complete and carve out some time weekly.
Do a bit every day, every week, and ask for help when you need it!
Developing a painting practice
I made a lot of paintings during my time at Goldsmiths. Most of the time, they feel like a sore muscle I can stretch in the back of my head. Some of the time, I don't mind what they look like for a few weeks when they are just done.

Adjusting to life in London
Studying in London is the best experience and the best time. There will be adjustments coming from a foreign country, but I am surprised and grateful that people in the UK and at Goldsmiths are very friendly!
Yes, it is a busy city, and at times it can be overwhelming; however, I sincerely think most people like to be helpful and kind.
I like to live near campus so I can come to school every day to work on my projects and use the library whenever I want. I think the school is very accommodating to various approaches to learning, and the facilities are there for you!
The Goldsmiths campus
I love the tennis courts that everyone can use, how democratic!
The College Green is great for having a bit of earth time under the sun and a spring breeze.
I like that friends live around the area, and we can catch up easily and talk about our day/week. There are a lot of parks around, endless shows going on, that are just a few train/overground/bus rides away.
