Student Community Leaders
Supporting students to share knowledge, build skills and get to know each other better.
The Student Community Leader (SCL) scheme is a peer-led community building programme designed to help establish student learning communities in departments and across the College.
We hope that through our work we are able to break down barriers to student participation, promote equality of opportunity and a sense of belonging amongst the student community.
SCLs are friendly faces around Goldsmiths that work to ensure that we can make this a reality through providing leadership and organisation within student communities. You may have seen Student Community Leaders around campus hosting study sessions, running social events, leading Study Well stalls and guiding students through Welcome.
SCL's gain opportunities to develop skills in:
- Leadership
- Event organisation
- Writing for publication
- Creating promotional materials
- Maximising engagement and participation
- Engaging with a wide range of students and stakeholders
