February Graduation Ceremonies 2016
Article
They came, they saw, they graduated.

Winter Graduation took place at Goldsmiths on 17 and 18 February 2016 with nearly a thousand students reaching the milestone.
It was truly a moment to reflect on students’ hard work – and for them to celebrate with loved ones all that they had achieved.
Across four ceremonies in the Great Hall, 99 undergraduate students and 744 postgraduate students – including 106 newly-qualified teachers and 16 PhD candidates – joined our community of more than 50,000 Goldsmiths alumni across the world.
The graduates were joined by five Honorary Fellows who were recognised by Goldsmiths for their contribution to creative and cultural life across the world.
The Honorary Fellows were film and television producer Tessa Ross, children’s author Jean Adamson, playwright Mustapha Matura and music festival pioneers Josie and Rob Da Bank.
All the Honorands praised the graduates’ inspiring energy. Tessa said she was going to be “stealing something” from the graduates – the belief that “anything is possible”.
Student orator Courtney McLaughlin, who graduated from the MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship, told of her “challenging and rewarding” year here.
Fellow student orator Francis Gilbert – also a Lecturer in the Department of Education – spoke warmly of the joy that Goldsmiths can inspire.
It was a fitting sentiment – and one shared by all.
