Speakers included AI and gaming experts from around the world, including talks given by academics and game professionals from major studios and developers like CD Projekt Red, Avalanche Studios Group, Electronic Arts – SEED, Riot Games, Ubisoft, Amazon Web Services and Google.
Now in its second year, the AI and Games Conference took place over two days. With nearly 400 attendees and taking place across three campus locations, the conference has grown significantly since it launched last year.
Alan Zucconi, Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computing, is part of the team of organisers for the AI and Games Conference, which was held on campus in November.
I really enjoyed how friendly and relaxed the event was. My highlight was, without any doubt, the chance to meet and talk with some of the most skilled and experienced AI developers and designers in the world.

Support from the tech team from the School of Computing, as well as IT and Conference Services, was vital to the success of the event, as was the assistance from student volunteers during the conference.
