Support from start to finish
I joined the MA Creative Writing and Education course part-time in 2017 and soon after had to interrupt. Last year I returned to it and after transferring from part-time to full-time study I completed the course this year. Even though my journey to graduation has been fragmented, I felt supported by the Head of Programme and the team from start to finish.
Developing my writing practice
This is a brilliant course for teacher writers; it allowed me to focus on my own writing practice whilst also giving me an opportunity to work on academic research around the writing pedagogy - something that teachers need but sadly do not have as part of teacher training.
After graduating
Since completing the course, I have used my research to lead other teachers in their professional development. I am currently working on developing a “Teacher Writers” programme for the academy for which I work. I am also busy recommending this course to all my teacher friends!
