"I was first introduced to Goldsmiths on my daily commute from my home in Lewisham to my secondary school in Beckton. It wasn't until I began to apply for university in college that I remembered Goldsmiths and decided to have a look at the online prospectus and from then on I had my heart set on coming here!

The course itself was intellectually stimulating and the lecturers from both departments are very passionate about their studies and are committed to nurturing the minds of their students. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would happily do it all again.

The independence that I gained and personal growth that university facilitates were my real highlights. It was a lovely segue into adulthood and an important step for me. I loved that Goldsmiths was a small campus, close to areas that I grew up in and that the size of it creates familiarity amongst everyone.

My studies in the History department were so varied that I often found myself spoilt for choice when making decisions about courses for the subsequent years. I really enjoyed being able to combine my love for literature and History through courses that focused on the relationship between the two. It's a wonderful department that allows for so much scope in terms of historical study and the staff was so engaging and fun that time really flies."
