Year graduated 2015
Occupation MA Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. In-Venue Researcher for Morris Hargreaves McIntyre
Country Turkey

While I was doing my bachelors degree in Business Management in Istanbul, I was attracted by Istanbul’s arts scene and I wanted to be involved professionally with the creative fields. The Arts Administration and Cultural Policy programme was perfectly tailored for my background and interests. Goldsmiths helped me to see the value of having a business background in the art world by introducing the different perspectives from a range of arts professionals. I really appreciate what I have experienced and learned from great professors in the course. I feel very grateful for the creative and talented people from different backgrounds that I had a chance to study with. Thanks to this course, I am now friends with creatives and future arts managers all around the world.

During the degree, I was able to appreciate what London has to offer both for a keen arts audience and also for someone who wants to work in the field with the guidance of Goldsmiths. After doing an internship together during our course, we initiated a collaborative creative team with another graduate of the course. We are very enthusiastic about developing our own engaging art programmes. I am now also working as an In-Venue Researcher for Morris Hargreaves McIntyre, which is a strategic research consultancy working for cultural organisations. I decided to extend my stay in London in order to expand my experience before I go back to pursuing my career as an arts professional in Istanbul. This course was a great experience and one of the best decisions I made for my education and career.
