A welcoming environment

I transferred to Goldsmiths during my PhD and I have felt incredibly welcome in the Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies, both from the staff and other postgraduate research students.

Advice for future students

Make sure you treat your PhD (or any other course) like a job: don't work in the evenings if you can help it, and make sure you always give yourself weekends off.

Favourite study spot on campus

The cafe in the library on the ground floor, and the tables by the windows make for a great study/ people watching space.
