Embrace discomfort. Embrace not-knowing. Embrace learning.

A pivotal experience

Seminars were pivotal in my development as they were spaces to slow down and thoroughly discuss and analyse topics. It's always special to be able to think through complex ideas with peers.

I'm also really grateful for all the tutors, especially Elvira Dyangani Ose, Janna Graham and Bridget Crone. Bridget Crone inspired me to study for a Masters. I wouldn't be where I am without her belief and support.

Life beyond Goldsmiths

I'm currently the Founding Director of Rathbone Institute, in Fitzrovia, London. An art institute founded to facilitate an artist's and practitioner’s integrity by providing them with a space and platform to convey the urgency and importance of their practice.

I organise programmes that involve exhibitions, presentations, performances, film screenings, talks and artist publications.

I enjoy working with artists on a consistent basis and being able to facilitate their ideas and projects. It's also a great feeling to help those you care for and believe in.

Advice for future students

Embrace discomfort. Embrace not-knowing. Embrace learning.

The foundation of Goldsmiths lives on independent and cross-disciplinary research.
