Year graduated 2004
Department Visual Cultures

"I have always been a voracious (almost compulsive) reader and had a real passion for the visual arts so was delighted to study History of Art and English at Goldsmiths. The very structure of the course allowed and encouraged me to approach both subjects in creative and stimulating ways. I think pairing the two together was incredibly useful, the theories and concepts surrounding the arts and literature are natural bed-fellows and understanding one area can only help compliment your understanding and enjoyment of the other.

Since graduating I have worked in various arts organisations including English National Opera, the Roundhouse and currently at Camden Arts Centre. I also now run my own readers website so have managed to incorporate both of the elements of my degree into my professional career. In fact the very idea of a book exchange service started to creep into my mind whilst at the college as I really could have benefitted from a book swap scheme while studying!
