How to apply
To apply for this bursary, you must apply through Clearing and complete the steps below:
Step 1: Accept your academic offer
Once you have completed your Clearing application and received your offer from Goldsmiths, you must firmly accept your place before applying for accommodation.
Step 2: Apply for accommodation by 29 August 2025
When making your application:
- You will be asked if you have applied through Clearing as part of your application. You must tick the Clearing Bursary box to confirm you have applied through Clearing and are therefore eligible for this scholarship.
- Choose the termly payment option.
Step 3: Wait for the outcome of your application
Offers are made in line with Goldsmiths’ accommodation terms (PDF) and subject to availability at the time.
If you're successful, we’ll offer you a place in accommodation.
Step 4: Accept your room offer
You’ll receive an email with a deadline to pay your £150 pre-payment or £200 deposit to secure your place in accommodation.
You must accept your room offer by the deadline in this email.
If you miss the deadline, your offer will be automatically withdrawn. You will be able to reapply for accommodation but you won’t be considered the bursary.
Step 5: Bursary confirmation
If you’ve met all the steps and are eligible, you’ll receive a separate email confirming your bursary.
Selection process
Applications for the accommodation bursary will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. There are a limited number of places available, and the application process may close early if we receive a high number of applications.
Students are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Once all the funding has been allocated, no further bursaries will be available, even if students meet the eligibility criteria.
Receipt of the bursary
If successful, the bursary will be applied as a termly credit of £600 to the student’s accommodation account, reducing the cost of rent for each instalment.
The bursary will be applied on a termly basis for their first year of study, on the condition that the student will remain in the accommodation for the duration of the contract. The bursary will not be paid as a cash sum.
The offer cannot be applied retrospectively to students who have already been given a place at Goldsmiths.
