MSc User Experience Engineering European Scholarships

This 50% tuition fee waiver scholarship is open to European applicants of the MSc User Experience Engineering.

There is a strong tradition of work in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience both within industry and commerce, and academia throughout Europe, including specialist areas such as rehabilitation technology and technical accessibility.

Indeed Europe has often led the UX agenda through organisations such as the European Telecoms Standards Institute (ETSI) and the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE).

This is why we are offering a partial tuition fee waiver to support applicants from mainland Europe interested in studying MSc User Experience Engineering.

Eligibility criteria

This fee waiver is open to applicants of MSc User Experience Engineering. Your home country must be one of the 46 Member States of the Council of Europe. Please note – this excludes applicants from the UK.

How to apply

You must first apply for and be offered a place on the MSc User Experience Engineering programme. Please note that it can take several weeks for programme applications to be processed and for places to be offered, and no late scholarship applications can be accepted. Candidates should indicate at the point of programme application that they also intend to be considered for the scholarship.

Once you have been offered a conditional or unconditional place on the MSc, you can apply for the scholarship. To do this, please write a short (maximum 500 words) case for support and submit this to Nick Hine n.hine@gold.ac.uk by 9am on 10 July 2023. The case for support should: 

  • Describe the broad areas of UX work and research that you have undertaken since your Bachelors degree (if any) and that you intend to explore at postgraduate level
  • Include some background on your personal journey to a career in UX

Selection process

Applications will be reviewed and the award made by staff teaching on the MSc User Experience Engineering Programme in the Department of Computing.
