ServiceWorks is a ground-breaking, national program that uses volunteer services as a strategy to help 25,000 underserved youth and young adults to develop the skills they need to prepare for greater college and career success. Through ServiceWorks, Shakeisha governs all volunteer outreach and recruitment as well as developing and enriching new ServiceWorks curriculums. Outside of all administrative duties, Shakeisha is teaching ServiceWorks Modules in the public high schools and colleges of Dallas, Texas.

As Shakeisha answers her calling to serve, she never let go of her love for music. Shakeisha is now training to compete in the international harp competition in the USA and Israel. She is also in the process of publishing her memoir that follows her life as an African American harpist growing up in poverty outlining the miracles and the misery.
