Communication University of China Nanjing & Goldsmiths Partnership Arrangement – BSc Creative Computing or BSc Digital Arts Computing

The School of Computing at Goldsmiths is collaborating with Communication University of China Nanjing (CUCN) to deliver a newly designed articulation degree for those interested in exploring study in different contexts internationally.

You will study for two years with Communications University of China Nanjing before progressing to year 2 at Goldsmiths, completing a further two years of study at Goldsmiths (2+2).

Teaching style

This programme is taught through scheduled learning – for example, through a mixture of lectures, seminars and workshops. You’ll also be expected to undertake a significant amount of independent study. This includes carrying out required and further reading, preparing topics for discussion, and producing essays or project work.

How you'll be assessed

You’ll be assessed by a variety of methods, depending on your module choices. These may include coursework assignments such as extended essays, reports, presentations, practice-based projects, group projects, coding tasks and degree shows.

The BSc Creative Computing programme at Goldsmiths is designed to prepare you for a wide range of dynamic careers in the creative and technology sectors. This approach equips you to enter a wide range of careers—whether as a digital artist, curator, creative technologist, or developer in the media, gaming, and design industries.

Entry requirements

To be admitted into Goldsmiths, successful applicants must complete Years 1 & 2 at CUCN with an average of at least 60%.

Students must pass the following modules at CUCN to demonstrate Level 4 equivalence:

  • Foundations of Programming
  • Web Front-End Development
  • Visual Representation (User-interface Design)
  • 3D Modelling Basics
  • Game Engine Application Technology
  • Digital Aesthetic and Practices

Mathematics requirements

Applicants must also meet the Mathematics entry requirement, which is typically Grade B/Grade 6 at GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent). For Chinese students, this is usually met with a score of 75% in the Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate or Gaokao/NCEE.

International qualifications

If English isn’t your first language, you will need an IELTS score of 6.0 with no element lower than 5.5 (or equivalent English language qualification) to study this programme. If you need assistance with your English language, we offer a range of courses that can help prepare you for degree-level study.

Annual tuition fees

These are the UG fees for students starting their programme in the 2025/2026 academic year.

  • Home - full-time: £9535
  • International - full-time: £21200

It’s not currently possible for international students to study part-time if you require a Student Visa, however, this is currently being reviewed and will be confirmed in the new year.
