Goldsmiths and Miriam College in the Philippines have partnered to create an innovative postgraduate study programme for education professionals based across the Philippines.

A result of the collaboration between Goldsmiths’ Department of Design and Miriam College, the MA in Designing Education seeks to explore the relationship between critical design thinking and critical pedagogy, providing Filipino educators with resources and pedagogies that support risk-taking and creativity through a design-led approach to learning and teaching.
The blended learning programme, which launched in 2019, is delivered by a cross-institution academic team, pioneering a new way of developing Higher Education practice through international collaboration.
The partnership sits within a broader framework of collaboration between the two institutions, which includes staff exchange, study tours in London and proposals for the future development of a joint PhD programme.
