Degree outcomes statement

In May 2019, the UK Standing Committee for Quality Assessment (UKSCQA) published a Statement of Intent which recommended that Higher Education providers should publish a Degree Outcomes Statement, analysing their institutional degree classification profile and articulating the results of an internal institutional review.
This statement is the result of that review at Goldsmiths. It considers undergraduate degree results over the five-year period from 2016/17 to 2020/21. It sets out teaching, assessment and marking practices, the algorithm used to calculate students’ degree classification and the mechanisms employed to assure the quality and standards of the awards together with any changes that have taken place over this period.
It was approved by the Quality and Standards Committee and Goldsmiths Council (governing body) in November 2021.
The statement will be updated on an annual basis including amendments to analysis of the data.
