Your named contacts
Patrick and Meg are your key contacts here at Goldsmiths, dedicated to supporting your student experience as a care-leaver or estranged student. From optional termly one-to-ones to priority access to enrichment activities organised by the Student Success team, we are here to offer guidance, advocate for your needs and help you find your community while you’re here with us.

Before you arrive
Before you arrive onto campus, you’ll be invited to attend a webinar on Zoom which will go over what to expect during Welcome Week and the support and guidance available to you throughout your studies.
We are also offering those moving into Halls of Residence the opportunity to have a current Goldsmiths student with similar lived experience meet you upon arrival. They will support you settling into your new home and show you around the local area. This is available on Sunday 21st September.
If you have declared that you are a Care Experienced or Care Leaver student on your UCAS application, you will receive an invitation email before you arrive at your Halls of Residence.
Throughout your studies
We offer support throughout your time at Goldsmiths, including:
- Termly one-to-one sessions with Meg or Patrick. Ask for advice, or just share your successes!
- Free screenings for ADHD, Dyslexia and other additional learning needs
- A regular tailored newsletter with information, opportunities and advice
- Financial support in the form of scholarships and bursaries
If you want any more information about any of these options, you can contact Meg or Patrick.
