29 January: Main UCAS application deadline

This is the date you must get your application, with reference, in for the majority of university places - although dentistry and medicine and Oxbridge applications to UCAS closed in October. Applications after this date may still be considered, depending on the places available.

24 February: Many scholarships open for applications

There is an enormous range of scholarships on offer to those coming to Goldsmiths. Take a look at what’s on offer and be sure to check the deadlines – most close in mid-May, but some differ.

5 May: Decision day if you received all your offers by 31 March

By this day you’ll need to narrow down your shortlist of five universities to two – your Firm (first choice) and Insurance (back-up) choice – if you had all your responses by the end of March.

14 May: Applications close for many scholarships

Be sure to check your eligibility and closing dates for our scholarships, which are available for a range of students, including those who have experienced the care system, have a disability, or live locally.

3 June: Decision day if you received all your offers by 6 May

If you had responses from all your five choices by 6 May, you’ll need to choose your Firm (first choice) and Insurance (back-up) choice by this date.

17 June: Decision day if you received all your offers by 3 June

You must choose your Firm and Insurance choice universities from the five you applied to if you received offers from all of them by 3 June.

30 June: Final day to make an application to five universities

This is the end of the regular application process for higher education. After 6pm on this day you must apply through Clearing

5 July: Clearing opens

From this date until 19 October you can apply to an institution through Clearing, as long as you are not holding an offer of a place at another university.

14 July: Decision day if you received all your offers by 13 July

This is your last chance to accept offers from one of your choices of university.

10 August: SQA Results Day

31 August: You must meet any conditions of your offer

If you were given a conditional offer by a university, you must meet them by the end of August, or your offer may be withdrawn
