31 January 2024: Main UCAS application deadline

This is the date you must get your application, with reference, in for the majority of university places (although dentistry and medicine and Oxbridge applications to UCAS closed in October). Applications after this date may still be considered, depending on the places available.

28 February 2024: UCAS Extra opens

If you were unsuccessful with your applications to your five choices or decline your offers you can use UCAS Extra. You can find out more about UCAS Extra on the UCAS website.

6 June 2024: Decision day if you received all your offers by 18 May

By this day you’ll need to narrow down your shortlist of five universities to two – your Firm (first choice) and Insurance (back-up) choice – if you had all your responses by 18 May.

30 June 2024: Final day to make an application to five universities

This is the end of the regular application process for higher education. After 6pm on this day you must apply through Clearing

5 July 2024: Clearing opens

From this date until 17 October you can apply to an institution through Clearing, as long as you are not holding an offer of a place at another university.

24 July 2024: Decision day if you received all your offers by 12 July

This is your last chance to accept offers from one of your choices of university.

August: Many scholarships open for applications

We have a large range of scholarships and bursaries for students coming to Goldsmiths. Explore what’s on offer and be sure to check eligibility criteria and deadlines.

6 August 2024: SQA Results Day

15 August 2024: A-Level Results Day

31 August 2024: You must meet any conditions of your offer

If you were given a conditional offer by a university, you must meet them by the end of August, or your offer may be withdrawn.
