Agent Information

The following course booklets, prospectuses and applicant/offer holder guides provide information on programmes offered by our Departments.

Primary page content

International Foundation Certificate/ Graduate Diploma (Pre-Masters)

A fully completed application should consist of the following:

  • Full submission of application via My Goldsmiths system
  • A reference
  • A personal statement
  • English Language qualifications if available at point of application
  • Transcript/certificate or student record.
  • A portfolio or specific supporting evidence if requested

Undergraduate degree

Applications should be made as per requirements listed on www.ucas.com including contact information, academic history, qualifications taken or currently being studied, a personal statement and usually an academic reference from a school or college teacher. Our UCAS institution code is G56 and the institution name is GOLD.

Students who apply via school counsellor departments and/or educational agents-representatives should ensure their third party details are provided in the 'Correspondence address' section of the UCAS form.

The applicant name should be in the first line of the address, and the agency's name (and office if they have more than one office) in the second line.

If your third party has their own UCAS 'buzzword' we would highly recommend that you submit applications using this buzzword. We also recommend that the third party(s) are included as the 'Nominated contact' on the UCAS form. Please use the agency name rather than the name of the individual counsellor.

Masters/Postgraduate Taught

You apply directly to Goldsmiths via the website by clicking the ‘apply now’ button on the programme page of the course you’re interested in.

Exceptions to this are our PGCE programmes where you are required to apply through UCAS Teacher Training, and our MA in Social Work where you must also apply through UCAS.

Some programmes have particular application procedures, so always check the relevant programme page first.

A fully completed application should consist of the following:

  • Full submission of application form
  • An academic reference or contact details of your referee
  • A personal statement
  • English Language qualifications if available at point of application
  • An electronic copy of your educational transcript/certificate or student record
  • A portfolio or specific supporting evidence if requested.

Postgraduate Research

You apply directly to Goldsmiths via the website by clicking the ‘apply now’ button on the programme page of the course you’re interested in.

Some programmes have particular application procedures, so always check the programme listing for any specific requirements. If you’re applying for an MPhil/PhD you should get in touch with the programme contact or academic department in which you’d like to study before you submit your application. You'll find their contact details on the relevant programme page. It may also be possible to arrange an advisory meeting with your preferred supervisor.   If you’re considering applying to do an MPhil and/or PhD, you’ll need to write a research proposal. We strongly encourage applicants for MPhil/PhD to contact the relevant department before submitting an application to discuss supervision, submitting without prior contact can lead to the admissions process taking much longer

A fully completed application should consist of the following:

  • Full submission of application form
  • An academic reference or contact details of your referee
  • A personal statement
  • A research proposal
  • English Language qualifications if available at point of application
  • An electronic copy of your educational transcript/certificate or student record
  • A portfolio or specific supporting evidence if requested

Incomplete applications

An application will be considered incomplete if there is:

  • Minimal information listed on the application form
  • No personal statement
  • No reference
  • No information or documentation relating to academic qualifications
  • No information or documentation relating to English language capability or qualifications if available at point of application
  • No portfolio or supporting evidence provided or explanation for missing information
  • No research proposal (for postgraduate research degrees)

It is essential that agents correctly tag their student applications for admissions data protection purposes, enabling effective follow up between agents and the university. This is also essential for financial reasons at the end of each recruitment cycle.
