Changing your password

How to change your password and update it on your devices.

Primary page content

If you set up Password Manager while you were a student, you can use Password Manager to reset your alumni email password.

As well as changing your password you will need to update it in places where it is stored.

It is best to set aside 5-10 minutes when you can focus on doing this. Have all the devices you use to hand.

Step 1: Change your password

Select Manage My Password and follow the instructions.

Your new password must:

  • Contain numbers
  • Contain special characters eg ! $ # % @ +
  • Not contain any of these characters: “ < > ‘ & £
  • Not contain part of your name or surname
  • Not contain part of your username
  • Not reuse a previous password
