Postgraduate funding for students of the Institute for Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship

The Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship offer a number of departmental awards including postgraduate studentships and scholarships. The following funding options are available for 2015.

AHRC studentships

Goldsmiths is part of the CHASE AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership, which funds up to 75 doctoral studentships per year.

If you're thinking about carrying out a research degree in the arts and humanities, you could be eligible to apply for a studentship covering fees (currently £3,996 per annum), a maintenance allowance (currently £15,863) and research training.

To be considered, you need to have applied for a relevant research programme at Goldsmiths by 14 January 2015.

Scholarships for Masters students

Students may apply for or ask to be considered for The Harprit Sekhon Scholarship in the Creative and Cultural Industries. This consists of one award of £1,000.

Eligibility criteria

You should be a current student on a Masters level programme in ICCE, Goldsmiths, and a UK citizen or EU citizen.

Selection process

Selection will be made from submitted, completed applications that outline your business ideas and ambitions. Preference will be given to those ideas that display:

  • innovation and originality
  • evidence of a position in the market and an awareness of the sector organisation and operation
  • ability to develop and manage the business
  • evidence of the future potential of the business and the impact it would make within its sector

A shortlist of applicants will be selected on completion of the award application form. Successful shortlisted candidates will be asked to give a presentation of their business idea to a panel, and follow this up with a question and answer session.

Successful applications will not be recipients of both awards, but one.

Application deadline

The deadline for 2015 entry has now passed.
