What should my podcast be about?
You will be given the title/question that your podcast should address once you have registered.
Your entry should be no shorter than 3 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes. You can interpret the prompt however you wish.
Your submission should predominantly be your own work, but you may use small clips of pre-existing material if you wish (e.g., snippet of music, dialogue from a film).
Eligibility
The Young Podcaster competition is for people aged 16–18. Applicants should be currently studying at a school or college in the UK. For a full list of entry criteria, please see our terms and conditions.
Judging
Once the closing date for submissions has passed, all entries will be heard by our judging panel and a shortlist is drawn up. From this shortlist, we will select one winner and one runner-up.
Shortlisting and judging will be conducted by postgraduate students and academic staff from Educational Studies and UK Recruitment staff.
Prize
The winner of the Young Podcater competition will receive £500. The runner-up will win £100.
All shortlisted entries will win a small prize.
