Your January welcome to-do list
Everything you need to do get started at Goldsmiths this January.
Primary page content
There are a few key steps to complete as a new Goldsmiths student. We recommend starting early so everything is in place before you arrive.
Download the Goldsmiths App
The Goldsmiths App will be your go-to place for timetables, support services and useful information throughout your time here.
You can download it from:
Meet the conditions of your offer
To access key resources and complete online enrolment, you’ll need to have accepted an unconditional offer, so it’s important to meet any outstanding conditions as soon as possible.
If you’re still waiting for academic results but have non-academic conditions (such as English language requirements, Fitness to Train, or work experience), we recommend completing these in the meantime to avoid delays.
Once all conditions are met and verified, your offer will be updated to unconditional and you’ll be invited to complete online enrolment.
If you have any questions about your offer or next steps, please contact Admissions using the link below.
Complete your enrolment
Once your offer is unconditional, we'll contact you you to invite you to complete online enrolment.
Your enrolment invitation will be sent to the email address you used for your application. Invitations are sent in batches, so don't worry if you don't receive yours straight away.
You'll receive an email with full instructions – please follow these carefully.
If you need help or run into any issues, you can contact the Student Hub.
Set up your Goldsmiths IT account
After completing online enrolment, you'll receive an email inviting you to set up your Goldsmiths IT account. This will be sent to the same email address you used for enrolment.
You'll have 48 hours from when the email is sent to activate your account. If the invite expires, you'll need to request a new one.

Upload your photo for your ID card
After enrolling online, you’re encouraged to upload a photo for your student ID card. This is optional, but it will significantly reduce waiting time when you come to collect your card.
You’ll need:
- Your Goldsmiths reference number (the 8-digit number in your offer email)
- Your surname
- Your date of birth
You’ll then be able to upload your photo. Guidance on image requirements is available at the link below.

Collect your ID card
ID card collection will take place on Thursday 8 January in the Student Hub.
Please book a collection slot in advance and attend only at your allocated time
You do not need your ID card to attend your Welcome Induction Day.
If you can't attend on Thursday, you can visit the Student Hub on Friday (as long as this doesn't clash with any scheduled activities). The team will also be available throughout the following week.
To avoid delays, please make sure you've uploaded your photo to MyPhoto before arriving.

Attend your January Welcome Day
For students joining us on a full-time January-start Master's course, your Welcome Day will take place on Friday 9 January.
All activities will be based in the Richard Hoggart Building (RHB). Student Ambassadors will be around campus to help you find your way — look out for their yellow or red t-shirts. The RHB room finder is also a useful tool on the day.

Sign up for a campus tour
If you're unable to attend the campus tour on your Welcome Day, don't worry – tours will run throughout the first and second weeks of term.
You can sign up for a tour led by a current student using the link below. It's a great way to get your bearings, ask questions, and feel at home on campus.
