Support for disabled students
This page gives important details about the services and support on hand to help you as a disabled student at Goldsmiths.
Primary page content
Disability and inclusion service
Our Disability and Inclusion Service can help to arrange any reasonable adjustments, equipment or support you require to study effectively at Goldsmiths. This can include:
- Providing evidence and registering
- Specific Learning Difficulty and Dyslexia screening and assessment
- Assistive Technology
How to register
If you have been made an offer of a place to study at Goldsmiths and you have declared a disability, there are some steps to follow to register for disability support.
The steps you should take differ based on whether you've accepted your offer to study here, or whether you've received an offer to study but not yet accepted it.
If you have not yet accepted an offer, see the instructions on our disability support for offer holders page.
Financial support
Disabled Students' Allowances
Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs) are available from UK student funding bodies to pay for disability related costs incurred whilst studying. DSAs provide funding towards costs such as assistive software and specialist equipment.
Information on DSAs and how to apply
Once you have applied for DSA, you will receive a letter asking you to book an Assessment of Needs for you to discuss the support required for your study. If you are still to arrange your DSAs Study Needs Assessments, please follow the instructions on our dedicated DSAs page.
Other support
Further information on funding that is available to pay for additional study-related costs incurred by disabled students can be found on our funding for disabled students webpages.
