How Clearing works if you have taken BTECs either on their own or combined with A-levels.
Primary page content
We welcome a range of UK Level 3 qualifications for our degrees. We consider the BTEC Extended Diploma (taken from 2010) or National Extended Diploma (from 2016) for entry to our undergraduate programmes. We also consider a combination of BTEC diplomas with other Level 3 qualifications, for example:
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma/National Diploma with one A-level
- BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma/National Extended Certificate with two A-levels
“We warmly welcome our BTEC applicants at Goldsmiths. And we find many people take a mix of BTECs and A-levels. We’re a very friendly bunch so if you’re not sure about whether your qualification will be accepted, please ask us." - Dan, Admissions Operations Manager
How Covid-19 could affect Clearing
Parts of the 2020 Clearing process may need to change because of the coronavirus crisis. We are keeping up to date with the latest information from UCAS and government bodies, and will update these pages in line with any changes. If you want to know more about how Goldsmiths is responding to Covid-19 please visit our dedicated pages.
