Transferring through Clearing

If you are currently studying at another university but want to make a change, you might be eligible to transfer to a different institution through Clearing.

What courses can I transfer to?

Goldsmiths welcomes transfer applications for a number of programmes.

You can check what entry points are available by visiting the Clearing application form and selecting your programme of interest.

What do I need to make Clearing transfer application?

If you are applying for Year 2 entry, you will need to provide a transcript of the modules you have completed so far.

This should include the name of the degree and your modules with their level, number of credits and grade.

If you do not have an official transcript, then please upload a list of modules with the same information.

You must have 120 credits at level 4 in the same subject area to be able to progress to year 2, if made an offer you will need to supply an official transcript prior to enrolment.

Please note: For entry into year 2/3, there are additional processes that must take place before we can confirm any initial offer made. These are to ensure that if you enrol, your previous study will allow us to award you a degree at the end of the programme. The process can take up to two weeks to complete.

Late Clearing and changing your mind

The Clearing deadline for this year is 19 October 2026.

If you accept a Clearing place at another university for 2026 entry but change your mind before the deadline, you might be able to transfer your place to another university.

This would depend on course availability at that stage as well as fee liability if you already enrolled at another institution.

Please check about fees with your current university before transferring elsewhere if you are already enrolled, so you don’t end up paying double fees.
