You are an international student

Goldsmiths welcomes students from all over the world, including through Clearing.

Primary page content

Clearing 2023 is now closed. If you're interested in applying to Goldsmiths, please use our course finder to find out more about our degrees.

International students, including those from the EU, apply for undergraduate degrees through UCAS, the same as students from the UK. Some courses may ask for specific requirements for international students, which you can find on individual programme pages. Please check the page for the degree you are interested in.

My friends are from other countries and they're so open-minded, so there were definitely no worries and concerns about making friends.

Alternative English language qualifications

We’ve recently reviewed our English language qualifications and are now accepting many alternative qualifications. We’re trying to grow the list to give our students as much flexibility as we can when it comes to applying to Goldsmiths. Please check our alternative English language qualification page.

Consider a foundation year

We offer a range of one-year programmes called International Foundation Certificates, which can be taken before starting an undergraduate degree. These are designed specifically to help international students who need to develop their English language, become familiar with British academic culture and explore some of our academic departments.

If English is your first language, you may be interested in one of our integrated degrees. These are four-year degrees with a foundation year, which are available in a range of subjects.

Help with visas

We have experts in place to help you if you need a visa. Our Immigration Advisory Service (IAS) can offer advice before, during and after you are a student. Email the team at immigration@gold.ac.uk.

Fee status for EU students

On the 23 June 2020, the UK government announced that EU/EEA/Swiss nationals will no longer be eligible for ‘Home’ fee status from August 2021. Access to financial support from Student Finance England will no longer be available, and EU/EEA/Swiss nationals will be classified as International for fee purposes.

Accommodation

We have halls of residence on campus and a short commute away, which you can look at on our accommodation pages.

We guarantee an offer of accommodation to all International applicants who apply by the deadline. However, the accommodation application portal remains open throughout the summer, and any applications received after the June deadline will be considered.

Although we cannot guarantee a place to those who apply after the deadline, last year all accommodation applicants who applied after the deadline received an offer of accommodation before the start of term. We will make every effort to accommodate late applicants.

Our accommodation team can offer you advice about private accommodation if you decide you would not like to live in college housing.
