Quiet and prayer spaces on campus

For quiet space when feeling overwhelmed, a free hot drink or somewhere to pray and meditate, there are four of chaplaincy spaces at Goldsmiths.

Please note that the use of the multi-faith chaplaincy spaces is subject to Goldsmiths guidelines. That means wearing a face mask and maintaining social distancing.

Multi-faith Chaplaincy centre

Laurie Grove Gardens

The multi-faith chaplaincy sits in a lovely peaceful garden area in between Laurie Grove and the Ben Pimlott building. This is a social space that will be open for hospitality whenever a chaplain is present.

Multi-faith Prayer Room

Richard Hoggart Building Rm 2.106

The multi-faith prayer room is designed to be a welcoming space for individuals and groups of all faiths and traditions, but because of the range of religious and cultural traditions involved this inevitably requires all users to accept some infringement of their religious sensibilities. The Prayer room is for everybody – regardless of religion or belief.

The Yurt

Laurie Grove Gardens

The yurt is currently out of use. Chaplaincy is working with estates to make the yurt safe and suitable for use as soon as possible.
