Students with low household income (under £25,000) An additional £110 top up per month on completion of application
Disabled students Financial support can be provided to put in place any equipment or support need to study/work effectively

*These amounts reduce to £380 per month (Group 1) and £335 per month (Groups 2 & 3) for opportunities nine weeks long and more

 

Funding for travel costs

Students who meet our widening participation criteria can receive funding to go towards the direct costs of travel for placements. This can be broken down into distance travelled:

  • 10 to 99km: £20
  • 100 to 499km: £165
  • 500 to 1999km: £250
  • 2,000 to 2,999km: £325
  • 3,000 to 3,999km: £480
  • 4,000 to 7,999km: £745
  • 8,000 to 12,000km: £905
  • 12,000km+: £1,360
