There are limitations for people in China around accessing the Microsoft Authenticator app. The following should help solve these.
Android: Downloading the app
You can find the Microsoft Authenticator app on these app stores in China:
You can also use a different authenticator app instead of the Microsoft one.
App notification issue
The Microsoft Authenticator app is unable to send notifications to Android phones in China. This means you cannot select the 'Approve a request on my Microsoft Authenticator app' option.
You can use the other ways including:
- Getting a code sent to your phone by text/SMS message
- Opening the Microsoft Authenticator app and using the 'one-time password code'
