Before you make an application

It is important that you have read through our information pages before making an application to one of our Study Abroad programmes. In particular, please read the entry requirements before you complete the form. 

You may also wish to read our study options page and modules section to help you decide which option is most suitable for you.

Please have your Study Abroad advisor complete the Study Abroad/International Office Student Reference Form and return to you.

Supporting Documents

Before submitting your application, please ensure you have the following supporting documents ready to attach to your application form;

Official transcript If you are applying to undergraduate Study Abroad please submit a transcript from your current undergraduate degree. Likewise, if you are applying to postgraduate Study Abroad, please upload a transcript from your current masters.

Academic reference We don’t require an academic reference at the point of application. We may contact you directly to request an academic reference if we have any questions about your academic standing.

Only applicable if you are applying for either our Art or Design programme/modules.

English language certificate

IELTS scores (or another English language certificate) are not required if the student is currently studying at a US institution as s/he has already been evaluated on his/her level of English proficiency by the home institution. 

IELTS 6.5 for our undergraduate and postgraduate level/IELTS 5.0 for our year zero level.

To apply for our Study Abroad Programme, please complete our online application form.

Make sure you complete all sections of the form. and upload any supporting documents. We’re not able to make a final decision on incomplete applications. Once you submit your application, you'll receive an automated email to confirm that your application has been received.

Offers of places

If your application is successful, you'll be sent an official offer letter by email. Make sure that you read this thoroughly and follow any instructions. Your modules will be provisional at this stage and will be confirmed during your enrolment. Please note that you need to officially accept your place to Study Abroad at Goldsmiths in order to apply for on-campus accommodation.

Immigration advice

We have a dedicated Immigration Team to help you with any immigration advice you should need. They offer workshops, drop-in sessions, individual appointments and email advice.  They also host a series of immigration webchats throughout the year, and you can contact them with any enquiries on immigration (


Once you've received and accepted a formal offer you'll be eligible to apply to for a room in one of our halls of residence. If you would like to apply, please register and submit an online application form.
